Young, Scrappy And Hungry: The Hamilton Collection

Are you Hamilton-obsessed? So are we. It plays nonstop around the office and when one fateful day last month, I actually won the ticket lottery to see this hit Broadway musical (after one solid year of entering every day), my coworkers and I exploded into song. We can’t stop singing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s brilliant lyrics, so we decided to curate a Hamilton lineup for anyone feeling young, scrappy and hungry.

Wait for it… Here are all the essentials for a Hamilton-themed party, inspired by our favorite, food-related Hamilton lyrics! Take a break, relax and don’t feel helpless.

Let us arrange the menu, the venue, the seating

Tradin' sugar cane and rum and all the things he can't afford" — Alexander Hamilton

Have you tried our Maple Sugar Cube? It’s way better than sugar cane. A bastard orphan definitely wouldn’t have been able to afford it, but your party guests will be totally wowed when you break out your cheese grater and shave some maple onto your homemade dessert at the end of the night.

You’ll also want a bottle of our Navy Strength Rum to honor those revolutionaries who needed some strong liquid courage while battling the British.

"You cry in your tea which you hurl in the sea when you see me go by" — You'll Be Back

The Peace of Mind Tea is way too delicious to toss into the sea, but is a perfect addition to any tea party. And, hey, maybe things would’ve been more peaceful for everyone if King George III had some Peace of Mind…

Grind to the rhythm as we wine and dine" — Helpless

Because we know you want to raise a glass to freedom, open a bottle of St. Innocent’s Freedom Hill Chardonnay. This bottle of wine is so versatile it’s sure to please all your party guests – both the ones who love a big, buttery Chardonnay and the ones who prefer a lighter French version.

"Look, when Britain taxed our tea, we got frisky. Imagine what gon' happen when you try to tax our whisky" – Cabinet Battle #1

In the ~spirit~ of 1776, what more could you want than Stillhouse’s Brooklyn-made, American Whiskey? This four-grain blend of whiskey has a harmonious mix of flavors that will be perfect while listening to the beautiful harmonies on the Hamilton soundtrack.

"The art of the trade / How the sausage gets made" – The Room Where It Happens

Looking for artfully made sausage? Try our Beer Salami. It’s cured slowly over time with brown ale fermented by the bottle. So this sausage pairs perfectly when you’re drinking two pints of Sam Adams (but working on three!).

I wanna sit under my own vine and fig tree" – One Last Time

Fig & Olive Tapenade is the supporting player in your full cheese and charcuterie platter by adding Vermont Creamery Cremont and Beer Flat Crackers (which pair perfectly with the beer salami, we might add).

Last but not least… your Hamilton feast would be incomplete without a bottle of Aaron Burr Cidery. Not only was this historical beverage aptly named for Hamilton’s arch nemesis, but hard cider is the original American beverage (it's basically all the colonial settlers drank!). And the bottle’s label even features a dueling pistol… don’t throw away your shot.

Trust us, this food is truly revolutionary. Rise up
