You’re obsessed with pizza. You’ve even toyed with the idea of immortalizing your favorite slice somewhere on your body in permanent ink. But after Googling, “Pizza Tattoos” and scrolling through what have to be ideas generated by a mix of lots of booze and a slice to end the night, maybe you’re not there yet. Enter our fake pizza tattoos.
Dripping with cheese and covered with pepperoni, these delicious, two-inch by two-and-a-half-inch slice tatts are a way for pizzaterians to wear pizza pride on their sleeves, or anywhere on themselves actually (yep, went there). And no better time than National Pizza Week (January 8th through the 14th) to show that hot, cheesy love, right?
Tattly, based in Brooklyn, New York, sells temporary tatts designed by artists who get a cut of each sale (this pizza tattoo is by Brooklyn-based artist Julia Rothman, who creates illustrations for books, mugs, clothing and more).
Their tattoos are non-toxic, made with vegetable-based ink and last two to four days – for best results, place on an oil-free area where skin doesn’t stretch.
Unfortunately, these don’t work like a scratch and sniff (don’t ask, but yes, we can attest), but you (or whoever you give them to) also won’t wake up with regrets. Good decisions, folks.
It's #NationalPizzaWeek! To celebrate, we're 1. Eating a lot of pizza and 2. Talking about pizza all week. Stay tuned.
