Eat, Drink And Be indie: Tasty Recipes, Inspiring Maker Stories & Exclusives

Two TV Appearances For Mouth Makers In One Day!

Three cheers for Three Jerks Jerky and Fuller Foods! Terrific products made by two amazing indie makers were featured on national television this morning as part of features on TODAY and Good Morning America celebrating products made in the good ol' U.S.A. in anticipation of Fourth of July weekend.

Lifestyle editor Chassie Post from Gilt.com visited Tamron Hall on TODAY and called out the cheesy puffs from our friends at Fuller Foods as being "next-level" and "serious." Ain't that the truth! We've been telling you about our addiction to Fuller Foods' seriously cheesy corn puffs since the moment these super-size bags from Portland, Oregon (one of our favorite epicenters of indie makers and shakers!) hit our tasting table. Founder Jack Juo makes the crunchiest little finger foods with 100% natural corn grits from Bob's Red Mill, antibiotic-free cheese and freshly ground spice blends. Finally, a way to keep...doodling. (Watch the spot below!)

Meanwhile... over at Good Morning America, Three Jerks' filet mignon jerky was the first item featured by Tory Johnson and Robin Roberts on GMA's Deals & Steals segmentOur obsession with Three Jerks began the moment we opened a bag of their seriously juicy jerky. If you don't know this story, it's one about former college roommates and longtime friends Daniel Fogelson and Jordan Barrocas, who were tired of being disappointed by the American jerky market, taught themselves the art of jerky-making (jerkying?), and had a beyond-successful Kickstarter campaign.

The big argument around Mouth is which bag is best. There’s the original recipe, packed with meaty flavor and subtle garlic. Some insist on the unexpected, sweet-tangy fusion of Filipino adobo and Mexican chipotle sauces. Still others think the just-spicy-enough Memphis BBQ dry rub is the way to go.
Luckily, you don't have to choose. All three are mind-blowing, so we've put together this all-inclusive set for the big jerks. Each taster contains two of each flavor – one for you, one for a friend. Or, do as suggested on the show and create your own flavor combo by mixing the kinds together. Either way, don't be a jerk – share.

A busy morning at Mouth!
