On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… ten lords a-leaping ten kings a-leaping.
Good lord! Kings County Distillery’s Chocolate Whiskey is a brilliant mashup of cacao and Moonshine, in a totally hip flask. It’s made from cacao husks (leftover from Mast Brothers Brooklyn chocolate-making) and then steeped in Kings County Moonshine. The moonshine brings a subtle sweetness to the earthy bitterness and rich flavor of the cacao. The combination is amazing, and there's no added sugar, so it's not overly sweet.
Colin Spoelman, founder of Kings County, really took a leap of faith when he started “unlawfully” distilling at home as a hobby. In 2010, he partnered with David Haskell to open the first legal whiskey distillery in New York City since Prohibition. Thank goodness they took that whiskey risk – we’re addicted to their delicious spirits.
Whisk-ey your true love off her feet!
