Happy Negroni Week!
Launched a few years ago by our friends at Imbibe Magazine, in partnership with Campari, this one and negr-only seven-day event raises money for charity through 3,500+ participating bars, restaurants and retailers.
Each participant mixes up their own variation of one of our all-time favorite cocktails: the Negroni, a spirited balancing act of herbal gin, aromatic vermouth and citrusy Campari.
Clearly, we never miss a good excuse to mix (and indie-fy) cocktails with craft spirits, so we created our own feel-good hit for the summer. Our sunny Summer Negroni combines American dry gin, sweet vermouth and bright-red, Campari-esque aperitivo distilled with coriander and grapefruit.
OUR SUMMER NEGRONI COCKTAIL RECIPE
1 oz New York Distilling Navy-Strength Gin
1 oz Atsby Sweet Vermouth
1 oz Leopold Bros. Aperitivo
orange slice for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Combine all spirits in a glass with ice.
- Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Serve up, or over one large ice cube.
- Garnish with an orange slice.
We’ve assembled everything you need into one cocktail kit, and for the duration of Negroni Week, we’re helping you mix things up for a good cause. Grab The Summer Negroni Kit through June 12, and we’ll donate 10% of proceeds to City Harvest, one of our favorite not-for-profits that helps feed more than 1.4 million New Yorkers facing hunger each year.
Happy hour never felt so good.
